Shameca Richard - Delta Eta

President

Angela Griffin

VP Programming

Angela graduated with her B.A. in Human Development and Learning from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a charter member of the Iota Xi chapter. Angela is a retired lifelong volunteer with 3 grown children. In addition to her ZTA activities, she is a Texas Master Naturalist. One of her favorite jobs is monitoring butterflies in North Brazoria County. She loves insects, snakes and spiders (oh my!), as well as iPhone macro photography.

Lee Ann Henry - Iota Kappa

VP Membership

In 1992, Lee Ann was initiated into Iota Kappa chapter at Delta State University. As a collegiate, Lee Ann served as the Panhellenic Secretary and Chapter President. In 2004, she joined the NASA-Brazoria County Alumnae chapter and previously acted as the chapter's Historian-Reporter and VP I-Programming. She feels the chapter’s strengths include its focus on community service and connecting sisters in all alumnae stages from recent alumnae to grandmothers of legacies.

Debbie Buscher

VP Finance

Debbie was a Zeta at Jacksonville University (Zeta Mu). Following grad school at Georgia Tech she moved to Houston to be an engineer for NASA and became a member of the NASA/Brazoria County Alumnae Chapter in July 1991. She has held every office and committee position in the chapter multiple times. She is also active at the national and state levels. She is currently a National Officer on the Chapter Financial Management Committee (CFMC) and is a past Texas Zeta Day Chairwoman (2017 - Space Center Houston). She is currently the financial advisor for Gamma Omega (University of Houston) and has served as a both a ritual and academic advisor at Theta Eta (Stephen F Austin University) and a ritual advisor at Gamma Omega (University of Houston) in the past. In her spare time she loves to travel, is an avid reader, loves movies and the theater, and loves to hike.

Karen Malkey - Gamma Omega

VP Communications

Karen was initiated at the University of Houston – Gamma Omega chapter. She joined the NASA-Brazoria County Alumnae Chapter in 1996, has served as President, VP Programs, Secretary, Historian, and Public Relations. She serves as the key woman for ZTA and is a active member of Clear Lake Panhellenic. She looks forward to recruitment each year, meeting the potential new members, writing recommendations and seeing the outcome of all our new sisters. Karen is a Sr. Project Consultant for CenterPoint Energy. She enjoys football, community service, spending time with family and going to the cookoff’s her son participates in.
